This Machine Surrounds Hate and Forces it to Surrender

Ladies and gentlemen, Pete Seeger is no longer with us on planet earth.

But that's not completely true. He lives on in all the great music he left us. Here's to one of folk music's fathers.

 

Mr. Seeger had this great tv show where he had his friends and contemporaries come on and share songs and share stories. It was called Rainbow Quest. Here's an episode with June Carter and Johnny Cash:

Probably one of the sweetest songs ever written. I heard it first on a Joan Baez record, but it was written by Donovan. Heres a live version with Pete Seeger on the banjo.
