Constraints! They is important!

Charles Eames said something like good design comes from a willingness to accept constraints. Constraints can actually be beautiful in that they give you a place to start. I feel like when something can be anything, it usually ends up being nothing. It can be harder to make decisions in situations like these. When something CAN'T be something, then you have a place to start, a sense of direction. I also think there is something to be said for seeing how much you can get out of how little. Like when Sagmeister made those beautiful fashion catalogs with just newsprint and shrink wrap.
