La Jette is a French film by Chris Marker. Marker uses only still photographs to tell the story of a man who by scientists to forced to travel in time in order to save the human race. Most of the story takes place in a post-apocalyptic Paris, where scientists have developed technology to send their captives through time to do their bidding. As viewers, we shadow the journeys and experiences of one man, who remains nameless.
