this really resonates with me, especially after my first semester at vcu. originality is impossible to achieve, and all artists are thieves! We all appropriate everything that we observe in our lives and put it into our work, subconsciously or consciously. its human nature. As long as you are sincere, genuine, and thoughtful about the ideas you chose to appropriate, art will always be authentic, fresh, and powerful. but never original! So start subjecting yourself to everything! Films, art, ads, music... drink it in, filter it, and use it!
