predecessor of the week: keith haring

Every week I'm going to try to post an artist that has laid the foundation for or greatly influenced contemporary art, thought, and culture.

keith haring was an artist that initially gained renown for his chalk drawings in the subway stations of new york city.  He is one of the many artists responsible for blurring the line that separates "high art" and "low art".
